Mooting has now become a benchmark to assess the academic ranking of law departments all over the world. Every year a good number of mooting competitions are organized in Bangladesh, and Bangladeshi Mooters are also proving their excellence in different parts of the world.

To contribute more in this Department of Law, Daffodil International University organized a daylong Workshop on Mooting on March 19, 2016. This workshop will help the law students to improve the performance of the Department of Law in these competitions.

A total number of 22 law students were selected for attending the day long workshop. Seven national award winning mooters were present as trainers to train the students, including Shyikh Mahdi, CEO of FutureLaw, Arifa Chowdhury, General Secretary of Dhaka University Moot Court Society (DUMCS), and Nusrat Jahan, K M Ashbarul Bari and Atikul Haque, Executive Board Members of DUMCS who recently came back from an International Moot at Oxford University.

The training session started at 9:30 am with the opening speech of Madam Farhana Helal Mehtab, Head, Department of Law, Daffodil International University. The closing ceremony reached its end at 5:00 pm through handing over of certificates by Professor A. M. M. Hamidur Rahman Dean, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, Daffodil International University.
